Our Team

We proudly claim to be Destination Specialists, but what does it actually mean? It means that most of us call the Nordic region home. Not only do we know the area and its traditions well, but we live, breathe and, for those of us in the Australia-office, count down the days till our next visit home. We love telling our clients about the countries we grew up in, we praise the beauty, the food and the childhood memories we hold so dear.

As a team, it means comparing notes, stories and enriching our expat and local experience with a creative mix of Scandinavian folklore: we grew up enjoying the same pop culture, ate the same lollies and baked goods (cinnamon scrolls and waffles!), celebrate the various national days in-house and even sing the anthems, albeit mostly out of tune. It means holding a healthy dose of fascination for Eurovision, embody the meaning of 'hygge', wear Marimekko and stick to the unspoken office-rule: Never return to work after an overseas trip home without bringing along local chocolate and salty liquorice to share with your co-workers.

Our Nordic values were in place long before 'Scandi' became a trendy interior-style on Pinterest and extend well into our weekends, hobbies and spare time: Did you know 'hygge' is a reward that is traditionally earned the hard way, preferably involving several miles by foot or skis, steep inclines and sweat? While the first reward is stunning views and time spent in nature (something we hold very dear in the Nordics), the real prize is firing up the backyard sauna and settle in for a relaxed evening at home with family, friends, good food and a freshly brewed pot of coffee.

But what does our heartfelt destination expertise mean for you, our clients? That you will always receive honest insight, genuine recommendations, 'inside' information and most importantly, the predicted weather forecast for the season ahead based on anecdotal updates from our relatives (because the weather is always a hot topic in the Nordics). We love our region; we love exploring it and we love nothing more than sharing our passion with you. Put your trust in us and let us help you plan the Scandinavian journey of a lifetime!
